Ashley Park is near the South side of Marion. The Park sits in a residential area on the North side of Boyton Street and East of Virginia Street. In the Park District’s Administrative Office entrance is located on the West end of the Boy Scout Cabin.This location is also where you can attend a Park Board Meeting on the 4th Tuesday of each month. (except for revised dates) There you can find information on upcoming meetings or special events posted on the outside bulletin board for your convenience. The Boy Scout Cabin (rental), Girl Scout Cabin (rental), large picnic shelter(rental), small picnic shelter, restrooms, playground equipment, basketball court and large open fields welcome all who visit.( 9.83 acres.) Many plans are being made for the open available property in Ashley Park.
Ray Fosse Park
500 E. DeYoung Street
Ray Fosse Park is centrally located and offers playground equipment, picnic tables, Tennis courts, Seven baseball fields, Goofy Golf, Batting Cages & three concession stands and the Park District’s Aquatic Center. There are 4 large lighted picnic shelters in Fosse Park. Three of these are available for rent. Contact the park office for information and to make your reservation. (618)993-3940
The Aquaic Center traditionally opens the last weekend in May. The facility includes swimming pool, diving boards, water slide and separate baby pool with a mushroom sprinkler fountain. You can contact the Aquatic Center, during open season, at (618) 997-1115. Be watching for information on prices, schedule, swim lessons, parties and much more!
Goofy Golf and Batting Cages open in April. For more information, please call Anthony or Peggy Rinella at (618) 993-8761 or (618) 889-1575. Batting cages are available for rent by the hour for team practice.
Russell Street Park

Russell Park is located is west Marion. It is a community park located at Boulevard and Russell Street. It has four lighted tennis courts for enthusiasts or competitors. The lights automatically turned off at 11:00 PM. The Park District’s tennis classes and clinics are offered at this location. Two shelters, a playground for all ages and restrooms are available for everyone to enjoy.
John W. Jones Park
501 W Gent Street
John W. Jones is near the City of Marion’s Boyton Center is south Marion. The neighborhood park is located at Gent and Monroe Street. It has two lighted basketball courts. A picnic shelter, restroom and playground are available for the residents to enjoy. This is a KaBoom grant partnership park.
409 Charlotte Road
Pamela Park is a quaint neighborhood park located 2 blocks West of South Carbon Street. This park has playground equipment appropriate for smaller children.
1300 Bevabeck Drive
Pyramid Park is a large community park located is southwest Marion on Wildcat Drive. The 33 acre park is active with our Skate Park centrally located. It also has two softball fields with ample parking and restrooms. A playground is located near the shelter for your picnic enjoyment. A large open marshland and wildlife area are located on the eastern portion of the park.
Marion Soccer Complex
1700 E. Main Street (George Sims Road)
Our Marion Soccer Complex is located on George Sims Road in east Marion. It has a total of 14 soccer fields both lighted and non-lighted. It is the site the annual Whirlwind Soccer Tournament. The site has extensive parking, two shelters, a concession stand, two restrooms facilities and playground for residents to enjoy. The park is bordered on the east with our irrigation pond and a nature area. The Marion Park District provides services in this park to Soccer Marion Incorporated for programming.
