Harrison – Bruce Park (previously Russell Street Park) was renamed on April 19, 2018 in a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Marion Chamber of Commerce.  The Marion Park District received a grant from the Harrison – Bruce Foundation for the renovation of the tennis courts and in recognition of the funds received, the Marion Park District renamed the location to Harrison – Bruce Park.

In January 2018 Marion Park District opened THE Bark Park.  THE Bark Park is a membership based park for small and large dogs.  Members must fill out an application, waiver form, provide vaccinations and pay a fee ($20.00 for the 1st dog, $5.00 each additional dog with a maximum of 4 dogs per member).  Applications and waiver forms must be turned into our Administrative office.

Harrison – Bruce Park has four newly renovated lighted tennis courts for enthusiasts or competitors.  The tennis complex now features four (4) USTA tennis courts, two (2) courts are now combination courts lined for 10U play and also a combination pickleball court on the far east side.  The lights automatically turned off at 11:00 PM. The Park District’s tennis classes and clinics are offered at this location. Two shelters, a playground for all ages and restrooms are available for everyone to enjoy.

There is a button on the light pole as you go into the courts. It can be pressed and the lights will come on. Lights are on a timer and will shut off automatically at 11:00 p.m.
